In the history section

In the prehistoric times, the delta called Bangladesh was in the sea. Due to the huge watershed, this land wakes up in the stream of time. But the area that came up from the bottom of the ocean was the first, the foothills of Himalayas and its related areas In the northern part of Bangladesh, especially in the greater Dinajpur of Panchagarh, Thakurgaon and Dinajpur district, the vast area of the oceans comes out of the darkness so long ago. That is why the people of this area have started walking on the path of civilization relatively soon. If you want to find a sign of ancient civilization, then you have to look for ancient villages of Thakurgaon and adjacent areas. The earliest evidence of Bangla literature has been discovered by the Rajdarbara of Nepal near Thakurgaon. Certainly the Nepalese did not compose the words of Charpas, composed Bangla speaking people and it is certainly a person in adjacent areas. Because the communication system was not developed at that time, it was difficult to find or collect anything far away. Therefore, it is not surprising that there is no doubt about the wealth of any Bengali speaking area near Nepal. It is again seen that the language of the people of Thakurgaon and adjoining areas has enough similarity with the language of Charupa. There is a lot of information from the narratives mentioned in Charupade and from the description of the area, which is why it is not difficult to say that it is the creation of the workers of Thakurgaon and surrounding areas. Many people support the involvement of Thakurgaon with the title of Cherrapad as Gorakhnath. Due to the lack of evidence, Thakurgaon and adjoining areas were not firmly established with Chirpad. If we can do extensive research and research, then many information will be collected and we will believe that the doubts that will happen in this case will be eliminated. It is also said that Takhargoan and adjacent areas are also known as charypad areas. In the speech given at the inauguration of Bangladesh Television Thakurgaon Broadcasting Center, the Honorable Prime Minister said, "The first publication of our mother tongue literature also came to Thakurgaon and its adjoining areas. This land was composed of some of the charyps ''. So there is no doubt that Thakurgaon is a populous village rich in ancient history.

The history of this ancient town has many valuable resources of ancient civilization. Various regions of Thakurgaon, full of numerous ancient monuments of Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim civilizations. There are many hiding places in various places here. It is found here that there are many ancient aristocrats, including many valuable archeology. But in the absence of planned conservation, study and research work, the history of Thakurgaon in the heart of Pundra-Barindra, the oldest population of Bengal, is still unexplored. Long before the Aryan arrival, this Thakurgaon region, including the whole of greater Dinajpur district, was inhabited by civilized people. And this conjecture is not unreasonable is that many monuments of stone age are found in the Bay of Bengal or in the million years of Dinajpur district (now in Gangarampur of West Bengal). Apart from the part of the undivided Dinajpur district and near the Thakurgaon, there is no difference in the area from the land along with the crorebirth. Although there may be stone-age patterns available, Naturally, Thakurgaon also has the potential to get such antiques. There are many ancient statues found in the areas of the Thakurgaon ditch pond-dighi. Among them, there are more number of stone Buddha statues and Vishnu statues. In 1984 some ancient coins were found from Rajgaon village of Thakurgaon Sadar thana. Of these, 21 ancient coins were deposited in the local treasury. It is not possible to decipher the script that is inscribed on the coins, but many people estimate that coins are Buddhist or Sultan periods. But the sad thing is that there is no further information about these ancient coins. There was no attempt to rescue her hidden history in her womb. It can be said that due to the lack of rescue work of hidden and hidden archaeological resources and due to the lack of preservation, study and research work, correct information about the cultural and archaeological resources of Thakurgaon is not fully disclosed today. As a result, the history of Thakurgaon is still in the darkness of darkness. Nevertheless, in spite of the efforts made by the individual in search of history, the scattered history of the past was heard from Thakurgaon. But it's all incomplete, isolated and legendary.

Approximately four thousand years ago, the Aryans arrived in the subcontinent. However, Aryan rights in Bangladesh were established only 2200 years ago. And it happened through emperor Ashok. Before the emperor Ashoka, no Aryan power was enabled in Bangladesh. But if Ashoka is not known as Arya, then the history of establishing Aryan rights in Bengal's soil is in the fourth century AD in the Gupta period. The emperor Ashoka, who had occupied the kingdom of Pundrashtra, found evidence in the Brahmakalipa that was found in Mahasthangarh rock clippings, punch marked and cast coin and NBP containers. There is still no sign of Ashoka's archaeological remains in the greater Dinajpur district including Thakurgaon. However, there is no doubt that Thakurgaon was part of the then Pundrajrajya. After Ashoka the history of several hundred years is not available.

The history of the Gupta is obvious. In the fourth century AD, Christianity came under the possession of the Pundra Raja and the Bangladesh Guptas. At that time Dinajpur's croreabarsha was a headquarter of the Pundra Kingdom and Bangladesh. There was a center in the center of Panchgani. Historians say that this location of Panchganjee is present in Charakai, Birampur, Chandpur and Pagalai areas of Dinajpur district.

Several copperplates of Gupta period have been discovered from present day Dinajpur district. Five copies of a copper plate found in Damodarpur of Fulbarhi thana and Baigram in Hili. Among these, the copper plate of Baigram is quite ancient, in the form of a very ancient one. It is during the time of Emperor Kumar Gupta (447-48 AD). Historical AK Jakaria mentioned the names of Nekmarchar of Rani Shankail Thana of Thakurgaon, while mentioning the name of the area of ancient Kirti in the Gupta period of Dinajpur district. It would not be inappropriate to assume that the history of the Gupta period in the present Thakurgaon district is spreading.
