Kulikh River

The river originates from the bill area of Raipur union of Thakurgaon upazila and Baliadangi upazila in the northern part of Bangladesh and falls into the Bangladesh part of Haripur upazila of Bangladesh. Bangladesh has Baliadangi, Ranishongkail and Haripur upazilas in its flow path.

 

Kulikh River is a Bangladesh-India transboundary river. King Tongnath's palace is situated on the banks of this Kulikh river.

Kulikh is a river flowing through West Bengal in India and North Bengal in Bangladesh. The length of the river is 6.36 km on the Bangladesh side and 75.64 km on the Indian side.

The river is 100 meters wide and 30 meters deep at Bhutdangi area. And the area of the river basin is 150 square km. The river has water flow throughout the year. The flow decreases during the dry season around April. During the monsoon season of August, when the water flow is at its peak, the flow rate is 115 cubic meters/second. This river has no tidal influence.
